Prof. Onli was asked this question by a good friend in The Arts:

"Turtel Have you seen the African Exhibition at Art Institute??
What did you think?? I have seen it twice."
These two traditional African images are links to info about the exhibition:

Prof. Onli's response:

"It is a rare unique showcase. Everyone should see it. My more deeper views about it are why over the decades my practice has created Rhythmism and certain works derivative of Africa. The centuries of violence and criminal devastation that led to the total obliteration of entire societies. Then taking the art as proof of such........... As a student at the Art Institute of Chicago I used to visit the Museum to bond with its African art on occassion. I did such in Paris at the Musee' de l'Homme and the Lourve. Those vibes informed my creative essence on so many levels...... Caged art like caged animals........still exude their power, beauty and hope. Rhythmism is uncaged!
