Inspired by "NOG" being the Future-Primitif face of the blockbuster group exhibition at the change making, trend setting Museum of Contemporary Art, Summer / Fall 2021 called "Chicago Comics: 1960 Until Now", curated by Dan Nadel. . NOG was mural sized on the MCA's outer wall near the door to its Museum Store which featured NOG merchandise in the form of a Tote Bag, post cards, a ever-cool NOG Sketch Book, plus autographed copies of "Tales From The Rhyhthmic Zone", the Graphic Novel that includes expanded versions of the original NOG stories. So Rhythmistic! All artwork on this blog by Prof. Onli is Copyright 2023 Turtel Onli , and other dates.  Recent feedback from Australia:

 Hi Turtel.

Sorry I've taken so long to reply to your email.

I first learned about NOG back in the early 1980s when I read a review of it in "The Comics Journal".

The name and the artwork stuck in my head, but I never thought I'd ever get a chance to read NOG as it was an independent title and I lived in Australia - no internet then, just unreliable mail service. ðŸ™‚
Flash-forward to last month and I receive the most recent issue of ROCKTOBER magazine (which came out in 2021, I think). I'm flicking through the pages and I see an ad for NOG!!!

I was so excited that I went to your website immediately and ordered a copy - it was great to learn that the graphic novel (and sequels) were available as PDFs, because postage costs to Australia are prohibitive.

Anyway, that's how I discovered NOG and I'm thrilled to finally have the chance to read it (and the sequels). It was only 40 years, but it was worth the wait. ðŸ™‚

All the best,
Dann
