Jan. 26th, 2022- "Here I am the day after my 70th Birthday appreciating my gift to me of two newly completed Rhythmistic oil paintings. I have been prospecting the Future-Primitif since the 1960s across the Great Divide of Two Centuries even.
This whole "Afrofuturism explosion" should finally mean I get to have company. Even an audience? A market that is ready? Since where they are landing, I have been there......and left!!!
Note....just like having a gun doesn't make you into a Soldier, having A computer and other digital media doesn't make you a Future-Primitif Artist.
OK..... I started these oils paintings a few weeks ago and timed their production to be completed yesterday. Back when I was a major market freelance illustrator, I never missed a deadline. BAM!

The painting-detail to the right is new. Now! While the one on the far wall is from 1985. New, is still wet as oils dry slowly, and of "Naga: Mother Of NOG". Old, is of Carla Dunlap the first Black Ms Olympia per my series of "Rhythmistic Female Body Builders" themed paintings that depicted the modern amazon.
"Naga" from original vision ladened Rhythmistic, Future-Primitif channeling. A bit of head-space time-traveling by way of the Rhythmic-Zone. All to grow 68 more Rhythmistic paintings this year that will cut Afro, Black, White, Red, Green, Blue, Amber, Past, Future, Mystical, Mechanical, Digital, & still Cosmic, by way of this man's Black Male Mojo. 70 new Rhythmistic paintings, in oils, acrylics and watercolours for my 7th from a brother at one with "The 7th!
Using the basics!!!! Graphite, archival oil paints, solvents, brushed onto primed distressed wooden panels. No photo references. Stretched linen & cotton. Acid Free Paper. Watercolours. No projected tracing of images. Id to the art power! No trying to fit in. No digital enhancements. Simply flow and follow. Have oils......will travel through time space and place. There still ain't no cure for who I am!"
