Inspired by "NOG" being the Future-Primitif face of the blockbuster group exhibition at the change making, trend setting Museum of Contemporary Art, Summer / Fall 2021 called "Chicago Comics: 1960 Until Now", curated by Dan Nadel. . NOG was mural sized on the MCA's outer wall near the door to its Museum Store which featured NOG merchandise in the form of a Tote Bag, post cards, a ever-cool NOG Sketch Book, plus autographed copies of "Tales From The Rhyhthmic Zone", the Graphic Novel that includes expanded versions of the original NOG stories.  "Future-Funk"....the iconic Rhythmistic 'zine was first published in 1982 and is still rolling. ONLI STUDIOS LLC is in production for the next version that will be about a deep dive into Rhythmism.


Readers, creators, fans, scholars and haters all will find some visual Funk in the future.

Drop date will be Summer 2022. Cutting, paving and flowing across two centuries of visual Funk!




Future-Funk was featured in the 2021 blockbuster exhibition "Chicago Comics: 1960 Until Now!" and distinguished not only the rare 'zine published by a Black owned operation but also one of the original true early indie 'zines.
